The barrel should be pinned and the cylinder recessed on the M66-1. The grips would look like this.I would say a few things generally, that the shift from commercial finish/grips largely took place in the 940000's range. V1 may have been created April 23, 1942, but V's largely began shipping August/September. 865643 recently sold on an auction site, it was a standard 5 inch .38-200 Victory in every respect.The model 29 began using a 3 letter prefix in 1983 during production of the 29-3. It can't be a no dash model 29 and have a 3 letter prefix serial number. It also impossible to determine value without knowing the condition.
