sharpshooter 6 is sniping someone from long distance. sharpshooter 8 is disarming. also, it has nothing to do with dead eye. you don't have to use dead eye at all unless you want to try and do all 3 at once. you just can't use dead eye once you start the challenge, or ride a horse once you start, or switch weapons once you start until it's over.
