I've had two motors in this truck, the first gave me about 12 l/100km... (19mpg?) the new motor is burning about 23 l/100km... I am in the planning stages of transplanting a Mercedes OM617 diesel engine into my toyota pickup. I am trying to figure out what gear ratio to run in the rear end of my truck to best accomodate a Mercedes diesel.

I made a custom adapter plate to mate the OM617 to the r150f Toyota transmission. I re drilled the Toyota flywheel to fit the Mercedes crankshaft as well as machined a custom pilot bearing adapter. I just finished the engine build and am working on hooking everything back up.
