Apr 9, 2012. #1. Basically, I tested yesterday (13dpo) in the afternoon...I got my 1st BFP at 9dpo but I was worried that my symptoms had gone yesterday so bought another 2 pack from the supermarket. I did one yesterday afternoon (after peeing really regularly, there was only about an inch of urine in the pot!) and got a fairly dark line.

Looking at the tests you’ve got a normal situation. Like others have said, it’s the hook effect. The test is looking for those little things of hcg but you have SO much it overwhelms the test so your line is lighter. When you diluted it the test was able to “see” the hcg better.
