The other core position option I had was FZFXX which is government money but was actually the worst off at 23% state tax exempt (I pay 10% state tax and was looking into this closely).FDRXX lately has had very small more yield than SPAXX BUT it offers 29% possible State tax relief than SPAXX. If not in a retirement account might be better for you if you have high State & local taxes.
