So, at best, this is misleading, as I understand that Doordash only want to pay a Dasher when they are active, as fees have been generated for Doordash, over just paying $17.96 regardless of a Dasher is on an order or not.

Customers can't remove tip on doordash. They can get it refunded but they don't take it from the driver. If it was that way in the past on Instacart they changed it. I started with them last year February and since then the customers have 2 hours after delivery to reduce the tip, but up to 24 hours to increase it.
