3 posts · Joined 2022. #1 · May 31, 2022. 2014 Ranger 900 Crew cranks but won’t start unless I prime it. Then it runs great and idles smooth. Once I shut it off it won’t start again unless primed. It shows a 636 (crank sensor) code. It has spark, 58 psi at fuel rail, new OEM fuel injectors. 9.2 volts at fuel injectors, and clean air filter.2012 800 will turn over, but wont start. I put it in gear (H) and it wont move. The Engine Light comes on. Any ideas on what could be the problem. I need it to go pull my trailer out of the mud so I can hook it up to my truck to go get firewood.

1) Make sure the run switch is on. 2) Make sure the quad is in Neutral. 3) Make sure the battery is in good shape and fully charged. 4) When you turn the key do you get a clicking from the solenoid. a. If you don’t hear a clicking then you have to make sure that you have power to the solenoid from the key switch.2. Insulated fuel line and fuel rack. 3. Burped the fuel tank (opened/closed fuel cap) 4. Cleaned fuel tank and blew out pump suction filter. Found that Polaris routed my fuel tank vent hose into a frame section under the seat without any filter attached. The roll over safety valve was completely clogged with dirt. 5.Ranger wont start when hot.
