Free Archetype does open up the opportunities a bit. But by level 10 you have your normal reaction, a dedicated shield block reaction, and a dedicated AoO reaction. You have the powerful champion reaction. Not to mention your Divine Ally Shield, which can take a beating. Probably 1 use of Lay of Hands.
The construct's main benefits are that 1) it gains the damage bonus from your Overdrive and 2) it can use many of your Unstable action feats. A very effective build is to use your construct to make ranged attacks while you also attack with a bow.
