Also if the mag is empty and I put it back in the gun and pull the bolt back it stays open, But with rounds in there on the last shot it won't stay open. The only thing I've done to the 795 is to throw a set of Tech Sights on it, polish the bolt, and fiberglass bedded a steel rod in the forearm and weighted the buttstock a bit.The sights that come with the Marlin 795 are an adjustable open rear sight and a traditional ramp front sight.
