How do i get to blasted lands.
I managed to do complete this quest with a level 60 Hunter. I am a level 60 Mage. Yes, we two-manned this; it IS possible. Here is our strategy: 1) Travel to the mountain called Rise of the Defiler in the Blasted Lands and look for Runes of Defiler around the mountain. 2) The person with the quest unequips all armor and purposely dies.

If you can get through the Swamp of Sorrows (you do need to be high enough lvl for that), you can walk straight through Deadwind Pass without aggro. There isn't anything in there except some high lvl birds that won't aggro if you don't try to go anywhere but the main road toward Swamp of Sorrows.Altho I can get to the Outlands, Hellfire Peninsula from the Blasted Lands if I fly to Blasted Lands but can't get back anymore unless I fly there again. Also, when using portal NPC, it just throws me to Hellfire Peninsula next to Dark Portal. Just saying this because not sure should it teleport me to Blasted Lands or Hellfire Peninsula.Description.
