Nothing wrong with our FAL forum here, I'm hoping to get some kit pics and questions posted but have been really busy. Full privilege mebership at the falfiles allows you to read things like FAQs in the reference and data section. Most of my time on various firearm forums is spent researching and reading.Just wondering what they cost back when DSA was putting out the commemorative ones. I believe the DSA Collector's G1 originally sold for $900. I have a select fire G1 put together in 1984-85 using an excellent G1 parts kit from Canada $400, a GSI FN Type 3 receiver $450 and the conversion cost was $200. #13.Went to ARPC today with my brother who is in town. Lots of people thought that Saturday at noon was a good idea, so we shot 20 rounds each from FALs at 100 on SR-1 targets. I've never seen a Howco marked FN that wasn't a 50.63. Also IIRC Howco had something to do with what used to be SACO (Security Arms Co) of Arlington VA. When it comes to 50.00 GSI/Steyr guns, GSI took over the importation of those guns in early 1981 or 82 so many receivers marked "Steyr Secaucus NJ" were stamped Gun South Birmingham AL ...The day is finally here- The FAL Primer is available! I couldn't use the DSA Para rear sight with a Type C as I recall. These are uglier but stronger than the others with regard to recoil-related splitting. If you're talking about the two-position sight, I'm not sure why they wouldn't work. The 1st Libyan contract rifles used a Type C stock with that type of rear sight.

Feedback: 76 / 1 / 0. ZA rifles were marked after the Rhodesian war was over during a transition time between the Rhodesian and the Zimbabweans. There isn't any such thing as ZA specific paint. Either the rifle had paint prior to it being marked or it didn't.The only purpose of the rod is to keep the recoil spring straight so you can compress it back into the stock assembly and screw the retaining screw back in place. Six mm diameter by 1.0mm thread pitch. A 1/4-28 UNF nut will screw onto a 6mm stud or screw but it will be quite sloppy. A 1/4-28 UNF screw will NOT go into a 6mm nut.
