It’s the same with any gun. As you shoot it even using low power cartridges, it will wear. Shooting higher power cartridges will always accelerate the wear.

The Scorpion Evo is a great SMG. The only SMG I would get over the Evo is an MP5 clone, and even then it's a tough choice. The Scorpion has amazing ergos, add to that they take a lot of the features of an MP5 and modernize it.
