X-Men: TAS does deserve credit for balancing its cast very well 10 years before DC attempted Justice League and 18 years before Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Ideally, the X-Men: TAS's roster would have been a bit more fluid during its run, but it would be unfair to ask that of the only show that had a cast that large at that time.
