Subaru outback driver window reset.
So until the passenger window is "reset" such that the computer knows the difference between real obstruction and something in the way before the window is supposed to reach it's limit, it will not let the driver control it. I'm not saying this is an ideal way of handling this, but this could explain it.
No taking apart anything or window lube required. Turn on your engine, then roll down your passenger side front window all the way and continue holding down the switch for over 5 seconds. Here are the relevant pages from the factory service manual. There is a fuse box under the hood on the driver's side (with spare fuses in the lid) and another in the driver's side under dash. Average ...Jun 23, 2019 · Going back the garage, I turn the push-button start to ON (rather than ACC), and used the passenger side window button to run the window all the way up, all the way back down, and then up again. Now the window operated normally from both the passenger's side button and the driver's side button. Mission accomplished. I chalked it up to a fluke.

Auto up/down on windows won't work, and from the driver's control can't control the other windows... all 4 windows on yours are auto up/down.... at each door, roll the window about halfway down, then roll them back up, holding for one second after it closes. Right now they probably aren't able to be opened from the driver's door.

Driver window only moving up 1 or 2 inches at a time: As stated elsewhere, modify the reset process by only lowering it just a bit, less than an inch, then raising it and holding the UP button for a few seconds. This morning my driver's side window wouldn't open when I went to the ATM (it was about 16F). I messed with the up/down button a few times, then opened the passenger window just to make sure that ANYthing worked. I was eventually able to get the driver's side window to open and close again, but the auto-up function needed to be reset.

After the dealer reset failed to correct the window bounce, the service writer just use a screwdriver to clean out gunk in the window's upper channel. Problem solved! The bounce was just caused by gunk blocking full closure.Also now that I removed the door panel completely and reinstalled it the driver's switch no longer operates the front passenger window or the rear driver's window.
