What I have seen so far is cleaned up magazines with traces of corrosion, then parkerized. In no way attractive. I have been told the parkerized magazines were intented for troops in South East Asia. They should resist the humid climate better when parkerized.

The serial number starts with a 6 and ends with a 5 with space between the numbers with two struck lines between the numbers. Interesting, but maybe not in a good way. Is that the remnant of another number under the 6? It appears to me to be a spot of original finish. See new enlarged picture.
