To be honest, recently I usually just use the factory mags. A loaded 43X with factory 10+1 is 23.5 ounces, and with the Shield 15+1 is almost 26 ounces. Two and a half ounces more is not a lot, but it seems much lighter. Where I live, 11 Rounds of 124 HST should do for most social situations.

Before going to the range I took the mag apart and checked the spring and did a little sanding inside the mag on the polymer side, on the sharp edges of the follower and the top edges of the the mag.
