To me it was easiest to get the blue tail and I attributed that in part to the fact that there were 2 of those dragons instead of one in each battle, that would suggest that pink tails would be even easier to find. In the very least it is much easier than the SNES version where you had no sirens, it took me forever to get a pink tail in that game.

They have a 12% (24% Treasure Hunter) chance of dropping Dragon Gloves which sells for 30,000gil (buys at least 10 Sirens).
