Their impellers some are the exact made as Merc but some are not. Sierra has so many impellers for a lot of models and makes. They buy from Johnson as well.

Helping a buddy troubleshoot his high water pressure issue, the boat has low water pickups and staggered Mercury 700 SCI’s. It has Hardin two stage sea water pumps, boat pumped water on the hose with no issue. Backed it in at the ramp and it wouldn’t pump any water.The shift portion of the trans does 2 things. In neutral a valve blocks flow of hydraulic pressure to the clutch pack. In Forward OR Reverse, the valve directs pressure to the clutch pack. The second thing the shift portion does is mechanically tighten down the reverse band. Go ahead and drain the fluid (ATF Type F).Young Performance. Are you referring to the 454 Mag MPI (385 hp) vs the 7.4 Mpi (310hp)? If so, the mag motor is a 4 bolt block with all forged bottom end and rectangle port heads. The 7.4 MPI has a 2 bolt block, cast crank, 3/8 rods, cast pistons, peanut oval port heads with smaller valves,etc. Not a good platform to modify.
