Jeep patriot 4wd warning light.
Every time I go into 4-low the "Service 4wd system" light comes on. And I am not sure my lockers are working either. And my 2-wd 4-hi, 4-lo indicator light stops working after I go into 4-lo as well. The "swar bar disconnect not available" also comes on. Any idea what the issue(s) could be? Thanks,
Checked wheel speed sensors and found left front bearing was backwards. Corrected that and the ABS and traction light went out. The 4wd! light comes on now as soon as you start to drive it. It vibrates during acceleration and the steering pulls to the left. codes retrieved are U1110 and U1120 wheel speed signal loss and wheel distance/.After about 5 seconds of wheel spin, the Jeep climbed out of the whole and took off. This should be normal as traction was lost on the right side. No problem. Later the ECS light came on and stayed. I cycled the ignition switch as called for in the OM. If the 4x4 light goes on and off with the switch but the rear wheels are always powered / turning with the driveshaft, the ECC may be stuck. You can try thumping on it with a rubber mallet. You can also try pulling fuse #2 and see if that changes anything. . .

Brought it to the dealer who changed the speed sensor on the rear left wheel. Cost: $128. It cured the problem for 6 months, and then same problem resurfaced.
