The single-battery system does both, so the stress on the battery is really from the loads while stopped, not necessarily the ESS itself - though there is still plenty of stress on each start. As a side note, the Gladiator has two batteries on the 3.6L (like the JL) and the forums are full of complaints about the ESS draining the batteries!
From what I understand, the main battery and Power Distribution Center (PDC): the intelligent fuse box switch places in the diesel JL as opposed to say the 3.6L JL. I mean it would make sense if the Aux battery stays in the same place on the Eco Diesel model, and just the main battery and PDC switch places.And, for my 2019, both Costco and Advance Auto's online configurator didn't show anything. Jeep has completely confused them. I have the lowly 600 CCA battery stock, as my Jeep didn't have the tow package.
