Then you use a Torx T-15 to undo the six screws holding the head together. I don't know well it will go back together, but that is how you would take it apart....Insert the Oregon trimmer head onto the center screw with the nut facing the trimmer shaft. Insert the small, flat-head screwdriver into the locking hole, and screw the trimmer head on in the opposite direction you used to take off the old trimmer head. Remove the screwdriver from the locking hole. Put the spark plug boot back onto the spark plug.With the bump head knob removed, the reel and line assembly can be pulled away from the trimmer. 3. Remove the plunger spring. Remove the c-clip securing the plunger and pull away the plunger and plunger spring. 4. Remove the slider and springs. Use a pair of retaining ring pliers to remove the retaining ring securing the slider to the trimmer.Step 5: Remove the Cutting Head. Grab hold of the trimmer's shaft now and then use your other hand to grasp the cutting head. Proceed to jostle the cutting head in place to loosen it up.
