3rd Gen Serial Number Question. I just took delivery on a used 4516-1, no box. I am curious about the serial number which is either TVBIxxx or TVB1xxx. A Model 10-7 can't have a serial number of C359288 (the B97447 is not a serial) because that C series number is from around 1956 which is before S&W model marked their guns. Check it again to make sure you have the numbers correct or that you have a model marked gun.I think you'd be pretty safe assuming a ship date of later 1965 or early 1966, but the only way you'll ever know for sure is with a factory letter.
