John deere gator clutch problems.

My gator xuv560 is bogging down, losing power, hard to start and has white smoke from the exhaust. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance. The problem was that the primary clutch rollers had developed a flat spot on one side that restricted the movement of the clutch spider and hence the inability to completely disengage. The rollers are not available from John Deere; instead, they want you to buy the whole spider assembly to the tune of $130 or so.

However, if you are in Neutral, and the clutch is spinning fast enough to engage it, then yes it will turn the belt. Ideally, the belt should NOT be turning at idle. If it IS, the clutch is not fully disengaging.

However, when checking the drive belts recently, I noticed that the bolt attaching the secondary clutch was loose, actually hanging out and held in placer by the exhaust pipe.
