My midwife said she'd be surprised if I make it to 40 weeks but said it's definitely possible. She seemed to think 2-3 weeks would be most likely. I was 3 cm dilated at 37 weeks with my first and my water broke at 40 weeks and 2 days so it doesn't really mean anything but your body is very ready.
