Look for proof markings on the upper and barrel, then do a google search to see if they match the mil-spec stuff. The barrel should be 14.5" M4 profile with 1/7 twist rate and chrome chamber and bore. The BCG should be properly staked and the bolt should have an MPI/MPC marking on it.
