The 1911's sit better in the IWB's to my thinking [and others here as well] but the g-30 with 10+1 rds is the one I always take with me when I leave the house now.

G30/G30S are more similar to P320 or XD Mod.2 subcompacts. Shield carries 1 round more than even Kahr CW45 and 2 more than CM45 or XD-S (although Springfield provide extended magazines). Both the 33 and 30SF are noticeably more than the 26, but not objectionable. I am assuming the 33 is similar to the 27; I have fire a Sig 229 with both barrels and can't tell much difference. The 33 is quick where the 30 is more of a push. The 10 round mag makes a difference for me over the 9 round in control of the 30.
Gen 4 grip without backstrap is she as SF model. G30sf- smaller diameter grip feels better in hand, slide is full thickness, still feels like a brick in your waistband. The G30 (32.50MM wide) is just a little bit wider than the G26 (30MM wide). What I would also consider is most put an extension on the G26 which makes the grip the same length as the 19/30 with facotry extension.

To me the 30 shoots just softer enough for you to tell it. I am actually more accurate with the 30, don't know why. A friend that is a firearms instructor said it's due to being aware of the shorter barrel and concentrating more on the sight picture.Wow, the difference is like night and day. The 30 feels like a brick compared to the 19, even though both guns are almost the same size. I guess thickness difference and weight does matter! Both conceal just as well, but the 19 is a lot more comfortable.
