I've had mine setup for quite a few months now, and in my opinion there is no need to pay for a MyQ or IFTTT subscription. A garage door does one thing and does it well, so I don't really see any advantage to paying a monthly fee. I will say that the MyQ integration is somewhat flaky. Others report the same thing.

But its also a terrible business model lol. Making everything free but doing it from the car and its $40… like either make people pay for everything or just free all together or like $5 a year. But then again, every person that pays $40 mean 8 people has to pay $5 each so i guess they did their math.
