Reason being in all the developer sneak peaks the medals for defense were tiny in comparison to what can be made attacking. So economics says, get better attacking power at the expense of defenses. There is more reward for Offensive sucess, but it is not so black and white. The better your defense is the greater the reward. Currently, these top clans indeed face better attackers than rushed clans, but as more and more clans get maxed out, I expect the quality of attacks to also decrease at that level. Still, there definitely have to be some changes to ensure that maxing out the clan capital is actually worth it with regards to the leaderboard. It works similar to the home village inferno dragon. The inferno dragon is just like the inferno tower, which ramps up in damage. It costs 15 housing space in clan capital. Strengths: It does copious amounts of damage when the damage is ramped to max. Smaller clans will just progress slower. But raid matchmaking is allegedly going to match clans based on clan capital progress so it won’t be a disadvantage down the road. No clue how well that matching will be though. The raids we tested on the dev build were just matched with only a handful of clans and were all maxed out totally anyway.
