Feb 11, 2012 · Easy process on the 2011, did my new remote start keys several days ago. You will need both of your currently working keys. With the doors closed insert the first key and turn to the on position for 3-5 sec, remove the key and insert the second working key within 10 sec. Turn this key to the on position for 3-5 sec. I ordered this Key Fob for my 2008 Mazda 6, a few days later I received the unit and went to a local key shop here in Tucson and had the key cut and the fob programmed for my car. The unit worked perfectly. The local Mazda car dealer wanted to charge me $180.00 for the fob/key unit plus cutting the key and the programming.A standard F-150 key fob has a lock, unlock, remote start and trunk button. The keyless entry system allows you to unlock and start your car with your key fob. You can do this with your unlock and remote start buttons on the key fob.
