Entry sensor not responding simplisafe.

@captain11 the sensor is used for a regular entry door from the garage to the backyard ,so a regular door not a garage door that opens for a car.. Not sure about the wind. The sensor is mounted using the stick tape that comes with it as long and extra for reinforcement. The sensor itself did not fall (which I had originally thought happened).

I contacted Simplisafe and they sent me a new base station that I received yesterday. I plugged the new base station in and all worked fine without errors until I added the last 4 of 21 entry sensors then the base station immediately went crazy with the interference errors again. I think you may be missing the issue. If the system is turned off, the entry sensors do work properly and announce when a door is opened, so it appears that the sensors are working properly. However, when I set the system to "Home", and open a door, the chime no longer rings, nor does the system announce which door has been opened.It is a great way to check the connection between the Base Station and the Monitoring Center. In this state, you can also test the connection between your Base Station and its sensors. The Base Station will announce the sensor type to confirm that it has received a signal. Entering Test Mode does not affect your Monitoring Status.Unplug your base station. Remove the battery cover at the bottom of the device using a screwdriver. Remove the battery for 10 to 15 seconds before putting the battery back in. Put the cover back on the device. Plug the device back in and wait for 1 to 2 minutes for a new connection. Arm your system to test that is working.

Define "stopped working". Does the light still flash when the door is opened and closed? Possibilities 1) battery is weak, 2) electronic failure in the sensor, 3) signal blockage or interference between the sensor and base, 4) somebody redefined the sensor.in the system setup

Wait 24 hours to see if it works okay in both locations, first location, 2nd etc. If they both work fine that it probably is a signal connection issue. If the orignal sensor has issues in the new location, and the 2nd one works okay, then that points to a defective sensor and call SS to replace it (if still under warranty.
